8:45 AM Dr. David Engles will present the story of the survival of his mother, Ruth Leimonzon Engles, during the Holocaust. David will present the story by reading excerpts from the diary that Ruth wrote while hiding in the barn.The Yiddish diary was published in 1972 with the title "Written In A Barn" .
David's English translation was published by Yad Vashem in 2023.

Everyone who speaks Yiddish & would like to meet with others just to enjoy the pleasure of speaking in this ancient tongue, is welcome.
We will talk about why "SH" is so important in Yiddish and see how many words we can come up withthat start with "SH". We will also learn some body parts and do a little exercise/dance
using these body parts.
